According to A Bola, the Al Nassr youngster has been selected for the first round of European Championship qualifiers, having already represented Portugal at two younger age levels.

Head coach Filipe Ramos has named the young forward in a 23-player squad for a training camp at the Portuguese Football Federation’s Cidade do Futebol complex from 6 to 17 November.

Portugal will open their campaign against Andorra on 11 November, face Bulgaria on 14 November and conclude against Serbia on 17 November. All three matches will take place in Portugal.

Ronaldo Jr steps up after making 13 appearances for Portugal’s youth teams — four at under-15 level and nine with the under-16s — scoring five goals in total.

One of his standout moments came in May 2025, when he scored twice in the final of the Vlatko Marković International Under-15 Tournament, helping Portugal beat hosts Croatia 3–2 to lift the trophy.

He is Al Nassr’s only representative in the latest squad, which includes players from Benfica, Porto, Sporting CP, Braga and other clubs. The upcoming fixtures offer him the opportunity to make his under-17 debut and take another step in his international career.
