Bayern Munich is preparing a special homecoming reception for Harry Kane following his 2026 Ballon d’Or triumph, dedicating two separate occasions to celebrate their striker’s achievement in front of the Allianz Arena crowd.
The German club confirmed its plans via its official website after their attacking talisman returned from the London gala with football’s most prestigious individual award, finishing ahead of Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal.
The festivities will kick off on Wednesday, October 28, ahead of the DFB-Pokal clash against Magdeburg, where the English forward will receive a special welcome from the supporters to mark his maiden Ballon d’Or victory.
The tributes will not be limited to the cup tie; Bayern also announced a second celebration for Saturday, October 31, during the Bundesliga showdown against Borussia Dortmund, giving Der Klassiker an extra celebratory dimension for the Bavarian star.
Club president Herbert Hainer stated: “It is a day of pride for Bayern Munich,” praising Kane’s qualities and his role within the squad as he joins an elite list of iconic names in the history of the Bavarian giants.
Kane becomes the first Bayern player to claim the Ballon d’Or since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in 1981, ending a 45-year wait and joining Gerd Müller and Franz Beckenbauer among those who captured the award while representing the club.
The historic feat follows a phenomenal campaign in which Kane bagged 73 goals for Bayern and England, including 36 Bundesliga strikes, while scoring in every round of the DFB-Pokal en route to a hat-trick in the final against Stuttgart.
The 33-year-old also picked up the Gerd Müller Trophy as the season’s top scorer during the London ceremony, expressing his affinity for the club by stating: “It is an honor to play for this club,” before returning to Munich to celebrate both accolades alongside his teammates and the fans.
