Journalist Michael Bridge revealed via Sky Sports that both parties have finalized the salary and the duration of the agreement, with the documents now sent to lawyers for review and approval ahead of setting a date for the signing and official announcement.

The new contract will run until June 2029, extending his stay by two additional years compared to Kane’s current deal which expires in the summer of 2027. The English striker will be 35 years old by the time the expected agreement concludes.

Reports have not disclosed the value of the new salary, though Kane currently earns an estimated 25 million euros gross per season, amounting to roughly 480,000 euros a week. Therefore, the new contract is expected to at least maintain this figure or grant him an increase tied to bonuses.

Bayern’s move comes in the wake of the exceptional performances delivered by the player since his arrival from Tottenham in the summer of 2023, having scored 154 goals in 156 appearances for the German club—a scoring rate approaching a goal per appearance.

The 2025–2026 season was the best of Kane’s career, after he netted 73 goals for club and country across 65 matches, including 36 goals in 31 Bundesliga fixtures, 14 goals in 13 Champions League games, alongside 12 goals for England, six of which came at the World Cup.

Kane became the fastest player to reach 100 goals in Bundesliga history, needing just 98 matches to achieve the feat, shattering the previous record held by Dieter Müller by 31 games. He has also claimed the Bundesliga Golden Boot in his first three seasons and the European Golden Shoe twice.

The 33-year-old has won two Bundesliga titles, the DFB-Pokal, and the DFL-Supercup with Bayern, following many trophy-less years with Tottenham. The signing of the documents and the official announcement remain the final two steps before confirming his continued stay in Munich.
