The draw was held on Wednesday at the St. Regis Hotel in Kuwait, attended by representatives from the Saudi and Kuwaiti Football Federations alongside the participating clubs, as preparations get underway for the tournament’s 13th edition.

Kuwait will host the matches at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, with the semi-finals scheduled for December 19 and 20, 2026, and the winners meeting in the final on December 23; kickoff times have yet to be announced.

Al-Nassr qualify as the reigning Roshn Saudi League champions, while Al-Kholood secured their spot following a historic run to the King Cup final, where they suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Al-Hilal.

For their part, Al-Ahli and Al-Qadsiah benefited from their league standings and overlapping qualification spots, having finished third and fourth respectively, as Al-Hilal combined the King Cup title with a runner-up finish in the league.

Despite qualifying on sporting merit through two separate routes, Al-Hilal are absent as they serve a suspension from the 2026–2027 edition, imposed after they withdrew from the previous Super Cup following the release of the official schedule for the tournament in Hong Kong.

Al-Hilal had justified their withdrawal by citing delayed pre-season preparations following their participation in the FIFA Club World Cup and insufficient annual rest for their players. However, the Disciplinary Committee handed down a 500,000 SAR fine alongside a one-edition ban—a sanction subsequently upheld by the Sports Arbitration Center.

Al-Ahli enter the competition as defending champions after defeating Al-Nassr on penalties in the Hong Kong final following a 2-2 draw. Their upcoming fixture against Al-Qadsiah also carries memories of their resounding 5-1 victory over them in last year’s semi-finals.
