Bayern Munich are preparing to pull out all the stops to renew Michael Olise’s contract beyond 2029, readying an offer that would make the French winger the highest-paid player at the club and slam the door shut on Real Madrid’s interest.
According to Sky Germany, upcoming negotiations will commence once the club resolves Harry Kane’s contract dossier, while sources within Real Madrid anticipate that Olise will ultimately choose to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena.
The player currently commands a gross annual salary estimated at around 14 million euros, whereas Kane and Jamal Musiala sit at the summit of the Bavarian club’s wage structure, earning approximately 25 million euros each.
With expectations that he will become the club’s top earner, the anticipated proposal will surpass the 25 million euro annual mark—excluding potential bonuses and incentives—ranking him among the highest-paid players across the entire continent.
Previous plans entailed raising his salary to roughly 25 million euros and extending his deal through 2032, but new indications suggest he could eclipse both Kane and Musiala, while the player’s camp is reportedly pushing to insert a release clause exceeding 200 million euros.
Olise’s current contract, which runs until June 2029, contains no buyout clause. He originally joined Bayern from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024 for an estimated fee of around 53 million euros.
His statistics explain Bayern’s fierce determination to protect him: he kicked off the current season with 8 goals and 4 assists across his opening 7 matches, following a stellar previous campaign where he netted 15 goals, provided 19 assists, and claimed the Bundesliga Player of the Season award.
By last July, Olise had amassed 42 goals and 54 assists in his first 107 official appearances for Bayern, before going on to provide 7 assists for France at the 2026 World Cup, equaling the all-time record for assists in a single tournament edition.
