According to a report from winwin, Libyan side Ahli Benghazi have expressed strong interest in acquiring the 32-year-old, alongside a serious proposal from an undisclosed club in the UAE Pro League.

Al Ahly management are reportedly open to discussing Bencharki’s departure, provided a suitable financial offer arrives that allows the Cairo giants to generate a transfer fee rather than risking a free exit.

Bencharki’s current contract with Al Ahly runs until June 30, 2027, putting him close to the final phase of his deal. Under FIFA regulations, he would be eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with any foreign club starting in January if no extension is agreed upon.

The Moroccan international joined Al Ahly on a free transfer in January 2025 on a two-and-a-half-year contract following the termination of his agreement with Qatari side Al Rayyan.

Over his career, Bencharki has turned out for Maghreb Fès, Wydad AC, Al Hilal, Lens, Zamalek, Al Jazira, and Al Rayyan. During his highly successful spell with Zamalek, he lifted six domestic and continental trophies.
