Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Chairman of Manchester City, has delivered a direct message to the club’s supporters following media reports alleging that the English champions have been found guilty of 114 out of 115 financial charges brought by the Premier League.
Neither the Premier League nor the independent commission has issued a published official ruling to date. Manchester City emphasized that the legal process remains ongoing and strictly confidential, maintaining that circulating reports do not represent the final outcome of the case.
The charges relate to providing inaccurate financial information, undisclosed player and managerial remuneration, compliance with Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and Financial Fair Play (FFP), alongside allegations of failing to fully cooperate with league investigations.
“The process still has a long way to go,” Al Mubarak stated in his message, reassuring fans that the club’s position has not wavered since the inception of the case.
“Our confidence and determination to prove the club’s innocence remain unchanged,” he added, signalling the board’s readiness to pursue all legal avenues and file an appeal should an adverse ruling be delivered against Manchester City.
The Chairman noted that ongoing legal restrictions prevent him from disclosing evidence or discussing specific details of the file. He urged supporters to carefully review City’s previous statements, adding: “Every word matters.”
Al Mubarak highlighted that the club has confronted numerous challenges and attempts to undermine its trajectory over recent years, consistently overcoming them to protect its sporting project.
“We will not give them that chance,” he concluded, calling on players and supporters to remain focused as potential penalties—should violations be definitively established—range from financial fines and points deductions to severe sporting sanctions, including relegation from the Premier League.
