According to Opta, Barcelona has become the club with the most goals scored against Real Madrid in a single season, with 16 goals (a total of four matches).
The lion’s share of these goals went to Rafinha, who contributed to seven goals, five of which he scored and two assists.
Barcelona broke Espanyol’s record, which had been set by the Catalan club when they scored 13 goals against Real Madrid in the 1929-1930 season.
Barcelona had previously scored 11 goals against Real Madrid in the 2010-2011 season, when Pep Guardiola was the coach and José Mourinho was the manager of Los Blancos.
