Xavi calls on the Barcelona administration to respect him

“Sport” newspaper reported that Xavi Hernandez, through his representatives, demanded more respect from Barcelona’s management.

Rumors have recently emerged about the possibility of Xavi being sacked after losing the Spanish Super Cup to Real Madrid.

Thiago Motta’s name was put forward as one of sporting director Deco’s favorite options, and this particular news reached Xavi and upset him.

Xavi’s agent spoke with Joan Laporta’s management, and told her clearly that the news of Motta coming out at this time was a severe disrespect for the Catalan coach.

At the same time, the Barcelona administration once again confirmed its support for Xavi and that he will remain in his position until the end of this season at the very least.

Xavi’s contract extends until the summer of 2025, but all reports indicate that failure to achieve championships this season will mean the end of his journey at Camp Nou.

Barcelona will meet Athletic Bilbao in the quarter-finals of the Spanish King’s Cup, and will meet Napoli in the round of 16 of the Champions League, in addition to occupying third place in the Spanish League.
