Xabi Alonso is unstoppable.. Leverkusen humiliates Bayern Munich with a 3-0 win

Bayer Leverkusen continues its historic run this season, after achieving a landslide victory over Bayern Munich 3-0 in the 21st round of the German League.

Thanks to this victory, Leverkusen, led by its Spanish coach Xabi Alonso, continues its unbeaten streak this season, as the team won 17 matches and tied 4 others in the Bundesliga.

The Pharmaceutical Factory team took the lead in the 18th minute through the player loaned from Bayern, Josip Stanisic, then Alejandro Grimaldo scored the second goal in the 50th minute.

In the last minute, substitute Frimpong scored Leverkusen’s third goal, bringing Alonso’s squad very close to achieving the Bundesliga title for the first time in Leverkusen’s history.

With this victory, Leverkusen’s score rose to 55 points at the top of the Bundesliga, 5 points behind Bayern Munich, with 13 rounds remaining until the end of the competition.

Alonso can lead Leverkusen to the historic double, especially since his team reached the semi-finals of the German Cup in the absence of adults and in the presence of two second-tier teams (Dusseldorf and Kaiserslautern).

Leverkusen is also still competing in Europe, having reached the round of 16 of the Europa League.

It is noteworthy that Bayern Munich is the holder of the German League title for the last 12 consecutive seasons, and if Alonso succeeds in breaking this dominance, it will be a historic event by all standards.
