Two strikes at once increase Liverpool’s pain

Liverpool received very bad news, after assistant coach Pep Lijnders revealed that Trent Alexander-Arnold was injured and would be out of matches for weeks.

Liverpool is already missing the services of the duo Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo due to their participation in the African Cup of Nations and the Asian Cup during January and early February.

Now Arnold will join the list of missing people, as Lijnders said that he suffers from a minor tear in the collateral ligament in his knee and will need weeks to recover and participate again in matches.

Arnold will not be the only player absent due to injury, as the English media revealed that Thiago Alcantara will not return to the field as scheduled in January.

The Spanish international did not participate in any matches this season due to injury, and Jurgen Klopp previously announced that he would return in mid-January.

But according to reports, his return has been postponed for another month until he fully recovers, in light of the possibility of a setback that could end his season.

Liverpool leads the English Premier League, and has also reached the fourth round of the FA Cup, as well as the round of 16 of the European League this season.
