The first…a global star leaves the Saudi League

Journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Ajax is on the verge of obtaining the signature of Jordan Henderson, the Saudi Al-Ettifaq player.

The media had previously spoken about the English international’s desire to return to Europe, less than 6 months after his arrival in the Saudi Roshen League.

The name Juventus was put forward as a possible destination for Henderson, but according to Romano, Ajax has already reached an agreement with the player and negotiations are ongoing with Al-Ettifaq Club to complete the deal.

It appears that the negotiations between Al-Ettifaq and Ajax are in advanced stages, to the point that the player is preparing to undergo a medical examination within the next few hours.

The agreement paid 14 million euros to sign Henderson last summer from Liverpool, with an annual salary exceeding 30 million euros.

In less than 6 months, Henderson played the first half of the season with Al-Ettifaq, as Steven Gerrard’s squad ranks eighth with 28 points.

Henderson has not succeeded in scoring any goal so far in the club’s green shirt, and was limited to making 4 goals in 17 matches in all tournaments.
