Surprise.. Barcelona refused to sign the former Liverpool star!

The Dutch network Voetbalzone reported that Jordan Henderson, the former Liverpool player, has offered his services to Barcelona in recent weeks.

Henderson made the decision to leave Al-Ettifaq this January, and his contract was terminated, after which he moved for free to Ajax.

According to the network, Henderson’s agent put him at the table of many major clubs in Europe, led by Barcelona.

But the Catalan response was strictly by rejecting the idea of signing him for sporting as well as economic reasons related to his salary and the inability to register him due to financial fair play laws.

Although Barcelona is looking to sign a midfielder in the winter Mercato, Blaugrana officials saw that the English international does not fit the club’s ideas and the philosophy of coach Xavi Hernandez.

Among the other clubs to which the 33-year-old was offered were Bayern Munich and Juventus, but in the end the player settled at Ajax thanks to the huge interest of the Dutch in including him.

Henderson played from 2011 until his departure last summer, and is considered one of the most important players in the Jurgen Klopp era, but the huge salary that was offered to him in Al-Ettifaq made him decide to leave for the Rushen League.

However, Henderson’s experience with Al-Ettifaq was not the best, as he did not succeed in scoring any goal, and with it the team fell to eighth place in the Saudi League standings.
