AS newspaper published shocking statements by Al-Nassr player Aymeric Laporte, expressing his disappointment with life in Saudi Arabia.
Laporte joined Al-Nassr last summer from Manchester City, and according to what was published, he relatively regrets this move.
“In fact, there are many players who are dissatisfied and feel disappointed,” Laporte said in widespread statements.
He also added, “They do not have the conditions of elite teams. It is about personal comforts, facilities, training, and also in daily life for them. They take everything lightly. The ultimatum you can give them does not matter to them. You negotiate something and then they do not accept it after you sign it.”
Laporte revealed in these widespread statements that he may leave Al-Nassr soon, and said, “At the moment, I have not thought about it, but if you feel disappointed in such a short time, you wonder what to do. That moment has not yet come, but it may come in the future.” “The future if this situation continues.”
After the statements spread throughout the media and criticism began to come towards the Spanish star from the Saudi fans, Laporte came out and denied that he had said that.
Laporte responded via his X account and posted a “mistake” emoji in response to AS’s tweet in which he relayed the alleged statements.
Later, Laporte posted a video on his Instagram account in which he announced that what happened was a misunderstanding in translation and that he was living happy days in Saudi Arabia and finding everyone treated him well.
