Roque scores his first goal with Barcelona and leads the Catalans to victory over Osasuna

Barcelona was able to stop its series of negative results, after achieving an important victory over Osasuna with a clean goal in the postponed match of the 18th round of the Spanish League.

Barcelona lost to Athletic Bilbao in the King’s Cup 4-2, then lost on Saturday to Villarreal 5-3 at the Luis Companis Olympic Stadium.

The only goal in the Osasuna match came from the Catalan club’s most recent recruit in the winter Mercato, Vitor Roque, in the 63rd minute.

Three minutes later, Unai Garcia received a red card, forcing Osasuna to complete the match with ten players. However, the Araste squad was close to equalizing on more than one occasion.

With this victory, Barcelona’s score increased to 47 points, reducing the gap with leaders Girona to 8 points, but if Real Madrid wins the Getafe match on Thursday, it will take the lead and the difference with Barcelona will become 10 points.

It is noteworthy that this match was Barcelona’s first match after coach Xavi Hernandez’s decision to leave Barcelona’s coaching staff at the end of the current season.
