Real Madrid’s opponent in the Champions League continues to collapse and is crushed by five!

Leipzig suffered a heavy defeat from its host Stuttgart, 5-2, at the MHP Arena in the 19th round of the German League.

Red Bull Club is preparing to compete in the round of 16 of the Champions League, where it will face Real Madrid on February 13 in Germany in the first leg.

But since returning from the long break in Germany, Leipzig has suffered 3 consecutive defeats, the first from Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0, and the other from Bayer Leverkusen 3-2.

Then came a heavy 5-2 defeat from Stuttgart, noting that this was Leipzig’s first loss historically against the brilliant South Club in the Bundesliga this season, which is ranked third.

Perhaps coach Marco Rose’s excuse for this heavy defeat is the absence of one of his most important stars, Xavi Simons, due to suspension, but his squad was full of other distinguished names such as Luis Obinda and Dani Olmo.

Despite the three defeats, Rose has the opportunity to improve things before facing Real Madrid, as he plays two matches in the Bundesliga against Union Berlin and Augsburg, then welcomes the Royal Club to the Red Bull Arena.

It is noteworthy that with this defeat, Leipzig freezes its points tally at 31 points in fourth place in the German League standings, and it could fall to fifth place if Borussia Dortmund wins its match this round.
