Real Madrid is racing against time to save the defense in the Girona match

AS newspaper revealed that Antonio Rudiger is doing everything he has to be able to catch the match between Real Madrid and Girona on Saturday.

The German international missed the Royal Club’s last match against Atletico Madrid due to injury, and is still suffering from the effects of the severe bruise he suffered in the Getafe match.

The defensive suffering of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad increased with the announcement of Nacho’s injury and his absence from the Girona match, leaving the team without a centre-back.

But the latest news indicates that Rudiger is feeling much better, and most likely he will join the Girona match, or he can participate in a small part of it.

Unless something new is found, the initial plan is for Rudiger to participate with Aurelien Chouamini next to him in the heart of the defence, with Dani Carvajal being the alternative plan if the German does not succeed in recovering and playing.

The Girona match represents great importance for Real Madrid’s season, as the Merengue is only two points away from the Catalan club at the top of the La Liga standings, and a loss will return it to second place.

It is noteworthy that Real Madrid is losing the services of the duo Eder Militao and David Alaba due to the cruciate ligament, but the former is supposed to return at the end of next March.
