Real Madrid identifies the “new Ramos” and takes the first step to sign him

Real Madrid’s management has settled on the name of the centre-back, which it will do everything to include next summer, hoping that he will be the “new Ramos.”

The Royal Club is facing a noticeable shortage in the centre-back position, which has increased further due to injuries this season, making support with a young defender a major priority next summer.

According to the newspaper “Marca”, Lille defender Leny Yoro became the first target for the Merengues, after the management saw that he was the ideal choice for the defense title, given his age and capabilities.

The 18-year-old has succeeded in presenting himself as one of the best young defenders in the world, and Lille’s financial demands may not be as extreme as Benfica selling former Real Madrid target Antonio Silva.

Indeed, Florentino Perez’s management moved towards Yoro , and took the first step by asking the player not to renew his contract with Lille, which expires in the summer of 2025, in order to put more pressure on the French club to sell for a lower price next summer.

It is expected that the value of Yoro will range between 40 to 50 million euros only, unlike Silva, who requested the Benfica management to approve his departure an amount exceeding 80 million euros.
