The Iranian team took the lead through Sardar Azmoun in the fourth minute, then Jassim Abdel Salam equalized in the 16th minute, before Akram Afif gave the advantage to Al-Annabi in the 43rd minute.
Ali Reza Jahanbakhsh equalized for Iran from a controversial penalty kick in the 51st minute, but Almoez Ali showed his fangs and scored the winning goal for Qatar in the 81st minute.
Qatar is the holder of the Asian Cup, having won the final match in the 2019 edition over Japan 3-1, and now the opportunity is ripe for Al-Adam to maintain the title, but a difficult task undoubtedly awaits them in the 2024 final.
The Qatari national team will face its counterpart, the Jordanian national team, led by its first star, Musa Al-Taamari, in the final match scheduled at Lusail Stadium.
Al-Nashama, led by coach Hussein Amouta, succeeded in overcoming South Korea’s obstacle in the semi-finals by winning 2-0, and for the first time they will participate in the final match.
The date of the 2023 Asian Cup final between Qatar and Jordan will be next Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Lusail Stadium, and the match will start at six in the evening, Jordanian, Qatari and Mecca time.
