Official: Mahrez is competing with Salah and many Moroccans for the best player in Africa 2023

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the final lists of candidates for the Best Awards in 2023.
CAF presents the best awards in Africa in multiple categories, most notably the Best Player category, which is witnessing great Arab competition led by the duo Mohamed Salah and Riyad Mahrez.
The final list of nominees for the Best in Africa Awards included the names of the Moroccan quartet Sofiane Amrabat, Yassine Bounou, Youssef En-Nesyri and Achraf Hakimi, as well as Sadio Mane and Victor Osimhen, along with Frank Anguiosa and Vincent Aboubakar.
It is noteworthy that Mahrez ignited the flames of competition for the Best in Africa award, after he said that he was more deserving than Bono, Salah and other stars for achieving the historic treble with Manchester City last season.
The winner of this award is scheduled to be announced at a large ceremony held in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh on December 11.
