The Norwegian national team doctor raised Manchester City's concern about the possibility of Erling Haaland joining the Liverpool match after the international break due to injury.
Haaland played one half in the match against Norway and the Faroe Islands in the Euro 2024 qualifiers before he was replaced after suffering a sprained ankle.
Manchester City is scheduled to face Liverpool in the Premier League match on November 25, and Haaland's chances of catching the match seem not great.
The Norwegian doctor said in media statements, “The injury is not serious, but Haaland is suffering from severe pain.”
He also added, "It is out of the question for him to participate in the next Scotland match. The match comes early and he will not have recovered."
The doctor's talk does not completely close the door on Haaland's joining the Liverpool summit, but it puts many doubts that the 22-year-old will recover in time and join the match.
Haaland plays a big role in Pep Guardiola's plan this season, and nothing is more evident than his scoring 17 goals and assisting 4 others in 18 matches in all tournaments.
The Norwegian international is the English Premier League's top scorer after scoring 13 goals, the last of which were two goals in Chelsea's last match before the international break.
