Officially… Egypt dismisses Vitoria and announces a new plan

The Egyptian Football Association announced the dismissal of Rui Vitoria from his position as coach of the Pharaohs after the failure in the last African Cup of Nations.

Egyptian media confirmed that Gamal Allam’s management agreed with the Portuguese coach that he would receive all his dues, but in installments.

According to the Egyptian Federation’s announcement, Mohamed Youssef has been appointed as the general coach of the national team to be with the new coach who will be chosen in the coming days.

At the same time, it was decided to appoint Alaa Nabil to the position of technical director of the Egyptian Football Association.

The Egyptian Federation statement stressed that the next coach of the Egyptian national team will be a foreigner, and a number of CVs are currently being studied.

It is noteworthy that many reports put forward the name of Hervé Renard as the closest option to train the Pharaohs.

There is only one problem with the French coach’s contract, which is that his contract with France’s women expires in August, while Egypt plays two matches in the World Cup qualifiers during June.

Other nominated names include Sebastien Desabre, the current coach of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as Vahid Halilhodzic, the former coach of Algeria and Morocco.
