Moroccan star refuses to repeat Salah’s scenario and opposes his European club’s desire

Moroccan media reported that Noussair Mazraoui, the Bayern Munich star, rejected a request from his club to leave the African Cup of Nations with Morocco and return for treatment in Germany.

Mazraoui was unable to participate in the first two matches with the Walid Regragui battalion in the Nations Cup due to the injury that has kept him out of the stadiums since last December.

According to reports, Mazraoui underwent tests last week in the Ivorian capital, Abidjan, after which Bayern Munich demanded that the player be returned to Germany to receive treatment.

Opinions differed in the results of these tests, as Bayern believes that Mazraoui will not be able to participate until the end of the “Can” while Moroccan doctors have another point of view.

Moroccan doctors believe that Mazraoui can play in advanced roles, and he needs a maximum of 10 days to recover and return to training and participating in matches.

Although Bayern Munich contacted the player and asked him to return, Mazraoui responded clearly that he would not leave the Moroccan camp as long as there was even a small opportunity to participate in the African Nations matches.

The position of the Moroccan League was similar, and because of its desire and the player’s insistence, Bayern submitted to the fait accompli and was forced to accept Mazraoui’s continuation with the “Atlas Lions.”

The announcement of what happened with Mazraoui comes a few hours after Mohamed Salah’s decision to leave the Egyptian national team for treatment in Liverpool and then return later if the Pharaohs reach the semi-finals, sparking a wave of anger towards the 31-year-old and his strange position.
