Mohamed Salah did not lie to Egypt.. Klopp announces the date of his return

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp announced the date of Mohamed Salah’s return to the Reds after a period of absence due to injury.

Salah suffered a muscle tear during his participation with the Egyptian national team in the African Cup of Nations, and a great controversy arose due to his leaving the camp and returning to Liverpool.

Salah said at the time that he needed about a month to recover, and that his only hope was to play in Egypt’s matches if the Pharaohs succeeded in reaching the final.

It seems that Salah’s talk was not false, as Klopp confirmed that Salah will return next week, and this is a date after the African Cup final scheduled for Sunday.

Klopp said in the press conference for the Burnley match about Salah, “Salah is recovering and moving in the right direction, but the exact date of his return is still unknown.”

He also added, “I hope he returns to participate in training next week. I think he will return at the latest the week after that.”

It is noteworthy that Egypt exited the Nations Cup in the round of 16 after losing to the Democratic Republic of the Congo on penalties, and with it came the dismissal of coach Rui Vitoria and the appointment of Hossam Hassan as his successor.
