Messi raises a government crisis in Hong Kong!

Lionel Messi sparked huge anger from the Hong Kong government after his recent visit with his club Inter Miami last week.

According to the agreement between the government and the organizing company, Messi was supposed to play the friendly match that was held between Inter Miami and the local league stars.

But the surprise was that the flea, as well as Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, all remained on the bench, in the match, which Son Ku Po Stadium was filled with 40,000 spectators to watch.

Because of this, the Hong Kong government was angry, and expressed this through the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, who confirmed that the funding for the match was for the purpose of Messi participating for at least 45 minutes.

The minister announced that an investigation would be opened into the matter and the necessary legal measures would be taken, including reducing funding due to Messi’s absence from playing.

In general, the Argentine star’s non-participation led to great anger and frustration from the fans who crowded the stadium to follow him, including those who came from outside Hong Kong just to see the best in the world.

Coach Tata Martino justified Messi’s absence by saying that if he had participated, his injury would have worsened, so the decision was made to keep him on the bench for the entire 90 minutes.
