Manchester City star agrees to join Barcelona, and 2 conditions to settle the deal

Kalvin Phillips, the Manchester City player, has expressed his agreement to join Barcelona in the current winter transfer market on loan.

Phillips is looking to leave City in light of his departure from the accounts of coach Pep Guardiola, amid the interest of many clubs inside and outside England in winning him.

Barcelona hopes to include a replacement for Javi during the remaining days of the winter Mercato, and sporting director Deco has his eye specifically on Phillips.

According to what was reported by the newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, the player does not mind joining Barcelona on the condition that he ensures his participation primarily with the Xavi Hernandez squad.

At the same time, there are two conditions on Barcelona’s part in order to complete the deal. The first relates to Phillips making a significant reduction in his salary so that there is room to record him in line with the rules of financial fair play.

The second, most important and most difficult condition is for Jean-Clair Todibo to leave for one of the English Premier League clubs for a huge sum, and then Barcelona can get 20% of the value of the deal and be able to include Phillips.

It is worth noting that Jesse Lingard is one of the inexpensive options available to Barcelona as well, and he will not need such conditions given the free deal and his negligible salary.
