Manchester City snatches a new deal from Barcelona

Manchester City has settled the deal for Savio, a Girona player loaned from Troyes, in his favor, with the intention that he will join Pep Guardiola’s squad in the upcoming summer transfer period.

This season, Savio is performing with Girona at very distinguished levels, which made him a target for many major clubs, and Barcelona was the most interested in signing the Brazilian in the summer.

But according to what Fabrizio Romano said, the City administration has completed its agreement with the player, as well as its counterpart in Troyes, to include the player.

The process is scheduled to take place officially during the month of February, with the player completing this season in Girona and then beginning the preparation period next July with City.

This is the second deal that Manchester City has kidnapped from Barcelona in less than a month, after signing Claudio Etcheverri, nicknamed “the new Messi.”

Barca tried to include 17-year-old Etcheverri, but the financial crisis prevented the negotiations from developing, so City succeeded in resolving the deal in its favor, and the player will join the Etihad Stadium in January 2025.
