Klopp makes a historic promise to Liverpool fans

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp made a promise to Reds fans that he would not coach any English team even if he did not have enough money to eat.

The German took over as Liverpool coach in 2015, and succeeded in bringing the team back to the forefront and achieving 6 major titles, most notably the English Premier League and the European Champions League.

Although Klopp’s contract with Liverpool still extends until the summer of 2026, he informed the management of his desire to leave at the end of this current season.

When Klopp was asked by the newspapers about his next destination, he hinted at the possibility of retiring, then said, “I will not coach any team or national team during the next year.”

He continued with a big promise to Liverpool fans, “I will never coach any other English team, even if I do not have a daily living. I will never coach any English team except Liverpool.”

It is noteworthy that Klopp said that the reason for his resignation was that he lost the energy needed to work, and indicated that he may stay away from training and go to another job in the future.
