Klopp explodes with anger at those who doubt Salah’s “patriotism”

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp defended Mohamed Salah against the criticism directed at him after his departure from the Egypt national team camp and his return to his club to receive treatment.

The Egyptian international suffered a strain in the posterior muscle, and instead of staying in Côte d’Ivoire and receiving treatment there, he chose to return to Liverpool in the hope of a faster recovery and catching some matches in the tournament.

Klopp was the first to announce this news, which angered the Egyptian Football Association, and it seems that the German knows very well that he did not do the right thing.

After the Fulham match in the Carabao Cup semi-final, Klopp was asked about the matter and replied, “I cannot be part of this discussion. We seek to have Mohamed Salah ready as soon as possible, and this goal is shared between Egypt and Liverpool.”

He also added, “We summoned Salah because he will not receive the appropriate treatment there, and therefore his return to the stadiums will be delayed again, and we, for our part, want to provide him with appropriate treatment and rehabilitation.”

He continued, “There is an agreement for Salah to return to the Egyptian national team if he recovers and they qualify for the final. All parties want that and everything is agreed upon.”

When asked about Salah’s loyalty, he answered with a clear statement, “If anyone doubts Mohamed Salah’s loyalty, he must ask himself about his own loyalty first, because Mohamed Salah is the most loyal Egyptian I have ever met in my life.”
