Kimmich answers: Will he leave Bayern Munich this winter?

Bayern Munich player Joshua Kimmich stressed that he will naturally remain with the Bavarian club until the end of the current season.

The German player’s speech came in response to recently circulating rumors that he is close to joining Paris Saint-Germain during the current winter Mercato.

“I’m only focused on Bayern Munich now,” Kimmich told Sky Sports in response to news of his alleged departure.

He also added, “For me, leaving in the winter is something that is not on my mind at all.”

He concluded, “I think that at some point the club will start talking to me about the renewal and we will sit together and discuss the matter together and not in front of the media.”

Kimmich’s contract with Bayern Munich extends until the summer of 2025, and it is most likely that if renewal negotiations fail, he will be sold next summer instead of leaving for free the following year.

Paris Saint-Germain is not the only club interested in signing the 28-year-old, as English newspapers have linked him to Manchester City, and it has been said that Barcelona may also be interested in him.
