It’s over.. Benzema will leave Al-Ittihad, and this is his next destination

L’Equipe newspaper reported urgent news that the Al-Ittihad club management finally agreed to let Karim Benzema leave during the current winter Mercato.

The “Jeddah Tigers” management realized that the French international’s stay with the team had become impossible due to the major differences between him and coach Marcelo Gallardo, so it would agree to his departure.

But this departure will be temporary through a loan system, and the 36-year-old will continue in the Saudi League.

According to some reports from within Saudi Arabia, Al-Shabab is the closest destination for Benzema, while L’Equipe merely said that the former Real Madrid star will join a club in the capital, Riyadh.

Benzema asked the management of Al-Ittihad Club to terminate his contract permanently, but the decision came with a complete rejection of the idea, and only to loan him out until a solution to his crisis was found within the “Dean.”

It is noteworthy that Lyon and Manchester United also tried to sign Benzema, but Union officials rejected the idea in form and substance and informed him that his transfer would only take place within Saudi Arabia.
