How did De Paul upset Vinicius after he said to him, “I am a Real Madrid player, who are you?”

As usual, Vinicius Junior was a troublemaker during the Spanish capital’s derby between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey.

The Brazilian international quarreled with coach Diego Simeone, and also provoked the Rojiblancos fans on more than one occasion at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Another argument was championed by Vinicius, this time with Atletico Madrid star Rodrigo de Paul, and cameras recorded the words that took place between the South American duo.

Vinicius said to De Paul, “I’m a Real Madrid player, who are you?” He pointed to the Royal Club logo on his shirt.

But it seems that De Paul’s response was disappointing to the 23-year-old, as he told him, “I am the world champion.”

Vinicius just smiled after that, and the quarrel ended immediately, but in reality it continued between the Brazilian and all the Atleti players and fans throughout the entire match.

It is noteworthy that Atletico Madrid won 4-2 over Real Madrid and qualified for the quarter-finals of the King’s Cup, where it will face Sevilla.
