Haaland responds to news of his desire to move to Real Madrid

Erling Haaland, the Manchester City player, denied the reports circulating that he was unhappy within the English club, and expressed his good feelings for being within Pep Guardiola’s squad.

The Spanish media reported that Haaland was suffering because of the weather and life in England, and that he was angry at losing the Ballon d’Or and The Best to Messi, and so he began thinking about leaving for Real Madrid.

The Daily Mail newspaper published new statements by Haaland in which he confirmed the exact opposite, as he said, “I am a football player, and the family can come quickly from Norway to here, the distance is not great.”

He also added, “English people in general like to joke. We are similar in Norway. We like to joke.”

He continued, “When Manchester United fans see me in the street, they joke with me, and I do the same. I love this atmosphere very much.”

He concluded, “It took months to absorb last season because it was very long, and we played many matches. Now we are more focused as we come. I want to repeat some of the things we did last season.”

It is noteworthy that Haaland is still the top scorer in the English Premier League this season with 14 goals, equal to Mohamed Salah, but he has not scored since last November due to his long absence due to injury.
