Guardiola on Real Madrid’s inclusion of Haaland: It’s not complicated!

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola sent a letter to Real Madrid in response to the royal club’s interest in signing the English club’s star, Erling Haaland.

Recently, news emerged about the Norwegian international’s desire to leave City and join Real Madrid so that he could achieve individual awards and because of the presence of a strong media support behind him at the time.

Although Guardiola denied this news more than once, the media did not stop asking this question, the last of which was before the Brentford match on Monday in the English Premier League.

The Spanish coach responded, saying, “Real Madrid wants Haaland? I have nothing to do with this matter. I know nothing about it.”

He also added, “If Real Madrid or any other team wants to sign Haaland, they must contact Manchester City.”

He concluded, “If City wants to sign any player, it first contacts its club. This is what we always do. I don’t think the matter seems complicated.”

It is noteworthy that Spanish newspapers confirm that Haaland is Real Madrid’s second choice if the contract with Kylian Mbappe fails next summer.
