Good news for Morocco before the start of the African Cup of Nations

Walid Regragui, coach of the Moroccan national team, received happy news after three of the most important stars of the “Atlas Lions” were confirmed ready to participate in the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

Experienced defender Romain Saiss suffered a sprained ankle last month, which raised doubts about the possibility of his presence with Morocco in “CAN”.

Meanwhile, Morocco’s first star, Hakim Ziyech, suffered a muscle injury at the beginning of 2024, as well as new pain in the back of Sofiane Amrabat, the Manchester United star.

But according to what was published by the Moroccan media, medical examinations were conducted on the trio in the past few days and confirmed their full readiness to lead Morocco in the Nations of Africa.

The “Atlas Lions” will begin their campaign in Côte d’Ivoire by facing Tanzania, then a somewhat difficult match awaits them against the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the group concluding with a match against Zambia.

Morocco has only won the African Cup of Nations once, in 1976, and Regragui declared a call to return the title to Rabat after many years of absence.
