Former Juventus president admits: Ronaldo deal is a complete failure

Former Juventus president Beppe Marotta admitted that the Bianconeri’s signing of Cristiano Ronaldo was a complete failure and never achieved the desired results.

Juventus signed Ronaldo in 2018 from Real Madrid for 100 million euros, and the most prominent goal behind this deal was to achieve the Champions League title.

But over the three and a half years that “The Don” spent in Turin, he failed to bring the hoped-for addition and was even the first of the crises that struck Juventus recently.

Marotta spoke about this in statements reported by Tuttosport newspaper, “Ronaldo’s deal to Juventus did not achieve the desired results. This is clear, of course.”

He also added, “It was a failed deal. His contributions did not match the very high expectations that existed when he arrived.”

It is noteworthy that Ronaldo scored 101 goals in 134 matches with Juventus and won the Italian League and Super League, before moving to Manchester United in the summer of 2021.
