Enrique comments on the possibility of succeeding Xavi in Barcelona

Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique refused to comment on the news circulating about the possibility of him returning to coach Barcelona next season.

The newspaper “Sport” had reported that Barcelona’s current players prefer Enrique to be the next coach after Xavi announced his departure at the end of the current season.

Enrique’s contract at PSG is still extended until the summer of 2025, but he is not experiencing a good period after he tied with Brest in the French League on Saturday.

After the match, the Spaniard was asked about this matter, and he answered briefly, saying, “I have nothing to say about this matter, no comment.”

Enrique leads Paris to the top of the French League, 6 points ahead of the closest competitor, Nice, after 19 rounds of the competition.

Perhaps the biggest challenge awaiting the former Spain national team coach is the Champions League, and he will face Real Sociedad in the round of 16.

It remains to be noted that Enrique coached Barcelona from 2014 to 2017, during which he succeeded in leading the Blaugrana to the historic treble.
