Barcelona dreams of Jurgen Klopp, but!

From the first moment that Jurgen Klopp announced his departure from coaching Liverpool, he became like a dream for Barcelona President Joan Laporta, as described by “Radio Catalunya”.

The German coach surprised everyone with his decision to step down from his position at the end of this season because he was “running out of energy.”

As soon as the news of Klopp’s departure came to light, and the idea of bringing him to Barcelona appeared in the mind of President Laporta, despite his awareness of all the surrounding difficulties, including financial and in convincing the coach himself.

But the idea crystallized more and more hours later, when Xavi Hernandez also announced that at the end of this season he would leave coaching the Catalan club.

Laporta believes that all doors are thus wide open for Klopp to become Barcelona coach, and he dreams of succeeding in convincing the 56-year-old to head to Camp Nou.

But at the same time, Laporta’s dreams collide with a bitter reality, which is that Klopp himself does not want to work in the field of training for at least a year in order to get a rest that he has not had in 23 years.

Klopp had previously hinted that he was considering the idea of retiring from coaching, and therefore no matter how much efforts Barcelona made to convince him to work there next season, they would be of no use.

On this basis, it is highly unlikely that Klopp will be Xavi’s successor in Barcelona, and Laporta’s management will focus in the coming period on other, more realistic names.
