Barcelona coach and star suspended due to El Clásico

The Disciplinary Committee of the Spanish Football Federation announced the suspension of Barcelona player Ronald Araujo due to his sending off in El Clásico against Real Madrid.

Araujo received a yellow card in the first half after obstructing Vinicius Junior, then another card in the second half of the Spanish Super Cup final, and the referee showed the red card in his face.

Because of this card and according to the rules of the Spanish Federation, Araujo will be suspended for one match, which means he will miss the match between Barcelona and Unionesta Salamanca in the Copa del Rey.

Meanwhile, the Spanish Federation decided to suspend Barcelona goalkeeping coach Jose Ramon de la Fuente for two matches.

De La Fuente attacked the referee of the Real Madrid match with full force, receiving a red card, and a strongly worded disciplinary decision was taken by the Disciplinary Committee against him.

Barcelona was also fined 300 euros, and Araujo 650 euros due to the fight that broke out between the Blaugrana players and Real Madrid players during the match.
