Announcing the player and coach of the month in the Premier League

The English Premier League announced the winners of the Best Awards in December 2023, and this time the list was devoid of the usual big reasons.

As for the players, the Player of the Month award went to Dominic Solanke, the Bournemouth player, after his great brilliance with his team, which is ranked 12th in the Premier League standings.

Solanke scored six goals during the month of December, raising his total score this season to 10 goals, 4 goals behind the top two Premier League scorers, Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland.

Solanke became the fourth player or coach in Bournemouth’s history to win the Best Award after Eddie Howe (coach) three times between 2017 and 2018, Charlie Daniels and Jeremy Defoe.

As for the coach, the award went to Aston Villa coach, Unai Emery.

The Spanish coach defeated Jurgen Klopp, Andoni Iraola and David Moyes, compared to the intense brilliance shown by Aston Villa during the month of December.

The Villans lost once in 7 matches during December, and they also succeeded in winning clean sheets against Manchester City and Arsenal during the same month.

Aston Villa comes in second place in the Premier League standings, only 3 points behind current leader Liverpool.

Regarding this award, Emery said, “I am very grateful and proud of our work. The most important thing now is consistency and that we maintain our desire to win and develop day after day.”
