An imminent clash between Laporta and Xavi over the future of the Barcelona star

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez does not want his club management to attempt to buy Joao Felix’s contract next summer from Atletico Madrid, based on his technical point of view.

This is what was reported by the “El Chiringuito” program, which stated that Xavi does not consider the presence of Felix a priority in the next season.

As for the Catalan coach, Felix did not provide the required performance, and so far he has failed to prove that he is one of the first-class players in the world as he was always seen.

But Xavi’s point of view contradicts the point of view of Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, who is determined to keep Joao Felix in Barcelona and considers him the nucleus of the new project at Camp Nou.

Laporta himself was the one who fought in various ways to include the Portuguese international last summer, and he still believes in the abilities of the 24-year-old, even despite his decline this season with Barcelona.

All of this paves the way for a conflict that will take place between Xavi and Laporta because of Felix, and in the end the coach may be his victim, especially if he does not succeed in achieving any championship this season for the Blaugrana.

It is noteworthy that Felix participated in 22 matches this season in all tournaments, during which he scored 6 goals and assisted 3 others.

It is also worth noting that Xavi recently excluded Joao Felix from starting participation in Barcelona’s matches and preferred Ferran Torres to him.
