Al Hilal Saudi Arabia is approaching its first winter deals

Al Hilal is close to signing its first winter deal after advanced negotiations with Marseille to sign Renan Lodi.

The Saudi club’s desire was clear to include a left-back based on the decision of coach Jorge Jesus, as he is the missing piece in the “Blue Wave”.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the negotiations between Al Hilal and Marseille are in very advanced stages, and likewise between the “leader” and the player’s environment.

It is expected that all parties will reach an agreement to complete the deal within the next few days.

Al Hilal will pay only 20 million euros to acquire the Brazilian full-back, and there are ongoing negotiations in this regard to reduce the amount.

Lodi, 25 years old, has had a distinguished career in Europe since he moved to Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2019 from Atletico Paranaense.

In 2022, Lodi moved to Nottingham Forest on loan, before moving last summer to Marseille for 13 million euros.

During this season, Lodi played 23 matches in all tournaments, and scored only one goal.
