After the attack on Real Madrid, a player is threatened with a 12-match suspension!

Onda Ser Radio reported that Almeria player Gonzalo Melero is facing a 12-match suspension due to his attacks on the refereeing and Real Madrid.

Melero had come out after his team’s match against the Royal Club and said that “Real Madrid stole the win” through refereeing errors.

According to the radio, the technical committee of referees decided to include what Melero said in its report sent to the competitions committee, so that the player would be subject to a heavy penalty.

The Spanish Federation’s regulations stipulate a suspension for a period ranging from 4 to 12 matches, with a fine ranging from 600 to 3 thousand euros in the event of verbal assault on the referee.

It seems that Melero’s position is weak given his harsh words, knowing that he is not the only player in Almeria who is threatened with a punishment in this way because of his words after the Real Madrid match.

The Merengues had come back from a 2-0 deficit in the first half and won 3-2, with a penalty kick and a questionable goal, in addition to canceling out a third goal for Almeria.

It is worth noting that Gonzalo Melero is one of Real Madrid’s sons, but he left the Santiago Bernabeu in 2015 and began a long journey until he settled in Almeria in the summer of 2022.
