After an absence of 150 days… Sancho responds to Ten Hag in his own way with Dortmund

Jadon Sancho needed only 22 minutes to express himself and his abilities with his new old club, Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho was loaned to Dortmund from Manchester United until the end of the season, after a 150-day suspension due to disagreements with coach Erik ten Hag.

In his first appearance in his second spell with Dortmund, Sancho participated as a substitute for Benno Gittens in the 55th minute of the Darmstadt match.

Only 22 minutes later, specifically in the 77th minute, Sancho passed a magical ball to Marco Reus to give the German the second goal for the Festival Lions.

This was the England international’s fourth appearance throughout the season, after 3 appearances with United, all of which were as a substitute, for a total of only 76 minutes.

It is noteworthy that Sancho protested the decision to exclude him from participating in the match between United and Tottenham, so Ten Hag decided to freeze him until he left in January to return to Dortmund.

This assist is the English star’s first contribution this season, but it is the 65th assist with Dortmund in total, adding what he provided in his first period from 2018 to 2021.
