AFCON makes Barcelona’s task difficult against Bilbao in the King’s Cup!

Athletic Bilbao received positive news ahead of facing Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey on Wednesday thanks to the Africa Cup of Nations.

Cameroon’s national team succeeded in defeating Gambia, and with it, Guinea qualified (after losing to Senegal) from third place to the round of 16 with 4 points.

Thus, Ghana’s national team’s journey in the Nations Cup has officially ended, and it no longer has any chance of qualifying given that it has only two points.

According to the Spanish media, Iñaki Williams will move from Côte d’Ivoire to Spain within a few hours in order to succeed in catching his team Bilbao’s match with Barcelona.

The flying winger will be ready to participate in the match with the Catalan club, and it is most likely that Basque club coach Ernesto Valverde will keep him on the bench and give him some minutes in the match.

Perhaps this news is not happy for Barca, given that Williams’ record is very special against Catalan, as he scored 6 goals and made another in 25 matches against the Blaugrana.

Of his 6 goals against Barcelona, the 29-year-old Williams scored 4 of them in the Spanish King’s Cup.

It is noteworthy that Williams scored 8 goals this season and made 3 others in 19 matches in all tournaments.
