A shocking penalty from “CAF” against Ragragui due to the events in Morocco and Congo

The BeIN Sports network revealed that the Confederation of African Football decided to punish Morocco national team coach Walid Regragui with all force against the backdrop of the events of his country’s match against Congo.

After the final whistle of the match, which ended in a 1-1 draw, Regragui quarreled with more than one player in the Congolese national team, and one of them accused the coach of directing racist remarks at him.

Regragui was acquitted of the charge of racist statements, but the crisis that erupted remained sufficient for him to be punished by CAF.

Therefore, the decision was made to suspend the former Wydad coach for 4 matches, 2 of which were suspended.

This means that Regragui will not be on Morocco’s substitutes bench in Zambia’s final group stage match, as well as the round of 16 match of the African Cup of Nations.

The fourth-place finisher in the 2022 World Cup will also be subject to a large fine, but the amount has not yet been revealed.

It is noteworthy that Regragui said that he and his family were subjected to death threats due to allegations of racism, and he confirmed that he was in great pain from what happened and denied it in form and substance.
