A name outside the accounts is a strong candidate to succeed Klopp in Liverpool

The Athletic network reported that Xabi Alonso may be the most likely to succeed Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool coach, but there is another option that has been toying with the Reds’ thoughts recently.

Klopp had announced his departure from Liverpool at the end of the current season, and Alonso’s name was immediately put forward, as well as Brighton coach Roberto De Zerbe, as potential options to succeed him.

According to the latest report, the very prominent name that is currently supported by the Reds management is Brentford coach Thomas Frank.

There is a great similarity between Frank and Klopp in terms of personality, and even in ideas on the field, which is what attracts Liverpool management to the Danish coach and makes him one of the strong candidates to take over the leadership of the Reds next season.

The 50-year-old coach succeeded in leading Brentford to return to the English Premier League, and the team is playing enjoyable football despite the relative decline this season.

In general, Frank did not win any championship in his career, and before working at Brentford, he was a coach for the Danish youth national teams and the Danish team Brondby.

At the conclusion of its report, the English network emphasized that Liverpool’s management has not yet made its final decision regarding Klopp’s replacement, and negotiations are ongoing on more than one axis, but Frank is a highly likely name.

It remains to be noted that Thomas Frank’s contract with Brentford is still extended until the summer of 2027.
