A European giant is trying to sign Benzema from Ittihad!

French press reports circulated that Paris Saint-Germain is trying to sign Karim Benzema on loan during the current winter Mercato.

Benzema is not living his best days with Al-Ittihad after his level declined to the point that made him subject to severe public criticism.

According to what was written, it is PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi who wants to sign Benzema to support the French club in the difficult period that awaits them for the rest of this season.

But Al-Khelaifi’s proposal is met with major objection from sports advisor Luis Campos, who prefers to include young players who can be relied upon in the future rather than short-term options like Benzema.

At the same time, Al-Ittihad Club may be the biggest obstacle to completing this deal, as “Jeddah Tigers” officials have no intention of leaving the French star, even despite the decline in his level.

The matter may depend in the coming days on 36-year-old Benzema’s position on whether to leave or stay, although the most likely is that he will continue until the end of his contract next year in the city of Jeddah.

It is noteworthy that Benzema participated this season with Al-Ittihad in 20 matches in all tournaments, during which he scored 12 goals and assisted 5 others.
